Ride 4 the Animals

                                           We are their voice...

On Saturday, November 13, 2010, I will embark on a cycling ride across Florida to benefit the Suncoast Animal League of Palm Harbor, Florida. This small, caring shelter is a non-profit, no kill shelter that takes in abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals. They are often called to participate in national and local rescues and their ultimate mission is to open a low cost spay and neuter clinic to humanely control our growing animal population.

My passion for this organization began at it's inception in 2006. I volunteer at events, fundraisers and speak at schools and to groups about the shelter and kindness to animals.  I love to speak about spay and neuter programs, because this is the core of how we can make a difference in the lives of the animals we help.   As I ride the distance across Florida, my goal is to spread a word of hope & promise and to ask the community to open their hearts for those who can't ask for help themselves.

After Tropical storm Faye hit- Suncoast safely transported 57 animals from Melborne, Fl. to Palm Harbor, Fl.

This endurance ride will begin on November 13, 2010 at the 3rd Annual Dogtoberfest in Dunedin, Florida and continue through to Key West, Florida. The ride will have no support vehicles to accompany, and will be covering approximately 100k per day. Consider joining me for a portion of this ride and help to be a strong voice for all animals. They truly define unconditional love.  Can you ride for a day?  Join me as I pass through your town.  Would you like to ride the beautiful Florida Keys?  Then join me as I finish the final 160K of the ride; together we can raise the much needed funds and awareness for this shelter.

Please support the Ride for the Animals and help us spread the word of hope. Hope that inhumane puppy mills will all be closed; hope that animal neglect and cruelty will end and hope that animals will no longer need to live in the streets fighting and begging for their next meal.

100% of the donations will be given to the Suncoast Animal League of Palm Harbor, Florida.
